Enjoy a spam free account by enabling the Advanced Spam Protection by FastMail.FM! All incoming mails, including the ones downloaded from your POP Links are checked for spam, and assigned a spam score, based on which you can block/reject mails, or automatically file them into a different folder for later inspection. The spam protection system is highly configurable - so you can fully customise it if you would like to! And to stop viruses in their tracks, FastMail.FM employs ClamAV Antivirus. We update our virus definitions several times a day to protect your account from new viruses that hit the net.

Apart from these, FastMail.FM offers a very powerful filtering interface to filter your email based on a host of critera that you can define - like the sender address, recipient address, subject, headers, etc. You can reject, block or move the mail to a different folder by using these filters. You can even forward the mail to a different address - for example, to your mobile phone, so that you are instantly notified. Mail Filtering and Management
Use the subdomain feature to generate email addressses on the fly! When you signup for a service with company A, you can give them an address companya@yourusername.fastmail.fm! Confidently signup for subscriptions - if they start spamming, just block all mails to the address you gave them!	Mails to subdomain addresses are automatically filed by fastmail to the corresponding folder. All mails to companya@yourusername.fastmail.fm is automatically filed to a folder "companya" in your account provided you have such a folder. Or the mail is filed to the Inbox folder.
Create rules to reject spam mail. Specify a size-limit for incoming mails. Walks you through your email filtering needs.	You can see how you can specify a secret word so these mails aren't checked for spam. Also, you can file mails to different folders, based on different criteria.
